Beautiful metal version of the iconic Korean classic ballpoint, the Monami 153. The standard version is the best selling pen in Korea, with billions sold. Here, the same styling has been given to a premium quality metal mechanical pencil.
Shiny, polished finish, in three stylish colours - dark 'Midnight' blue, pale taupe 'Oatmeal', and the bright and cheerful 'Tangerine' orange.
Push-button mechanism to extend the lead, with small eraser under the button. There's a strong metal pocket clip, and shiny polished nose cone. Above the clip is a small polished metal square, to echo the design of the standard 153's retract mechanism.
If you use the clip, be aware that it's small and very tight - it can clip to thin shirt pockets, but not to thicker materials.
Refill with any 0.5mm lead. Pentel's Z2-1N works as a spare eraser.
If you ever need to unblock a lead jam (which can happen occasionally with any mechanical pencil), remove the push-button, then unscrew the silver nose-cone. The pencil mechanism will slide out of the barrel with the cone. Unscrew the mechanism from the nose cone, then unscrew the silver tip of the mechanism to reveal the clutch mechanism. Push the back of the mechanism down against your desk, and push the ring around the clutch down to let the clutch jaws spring open. A little sideways tapping should clear any lead fragments. Reassemble, and all should ge good again.
