A mechanical pencil with simple, technical design. The barrel is a plain metal tube. There's a knurled metal grip section, which provides plenty of grip, as well as giving the pen a more technical style, then a tapering conical tip. A wider metal section holds the clip, making the clip more practical for thicker pockets and pouches. At the top, the twist-mechanism to extend the lead is knurled, making it easy to turn.
A slim steel ring between the knurled twist-mechanism and the main barrel looks almost as if it could be there for decorative purposes, but it's actually the top of the inside mechanism that pushes out more lead. Nope, there's nothing here that doesn't serve a purpose. The form purely follows the function.
The sturdy metal construction in black gunmetal gives the pencil a reassuring weight.
To add spare leads, unscrew behind the grip section to reveal the pencil mechanism inside. Pull out the small black cap, and add more leads. A small replaceable eraser is hidden under the knurled top - just pull!
