There's a knurled metal grip section, which provides plenty of grip, as well as giving the pen a more technical style, then a tapering conical tip. A wider metal section holds the clip, making the clip more practical for thicker pockets and pouches. At the top, the twist-mechanism to extend and retract the tip is knurled, making it easy to turn.
A slim steel ring between the knurled twist-mechanism and the main barrel looks almost as if it could be there for decorative purposes, but it's actually the top of the inside mechanism that pushes the refill down to extend the tip. Nope, there's nothing here that doesn't serve a purpose. The form purely follows the function.
The sturdy metal construction gives the pen a reassuring weight, and while the overall body is fairly compact, it holds a full-sized 'Parker-style' G2 refill, giving you lots of options.
