Special edition tin of 24 Polychromos pencils, limited to just one production run and produced to commemorate the 111th anniversary of these superb quality pencils.
First launched in 1908, 10 years after the creation of the Faber-Castell family name following the marriage of Baroness Ottilie von Faber to Count Alexander zu Castell-Rüdenhausen, Polychromos pencils are artist-quality coloured pencils widely regarded as some of the best available.
Offered in a huge range of colours that are highly lightfast and vivid as well as smudge-proof and water-resistant, Polychromos pencils are ideal for all types of artwork where quality is paramount. They have been used by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and artist Oskar Kokoschka.
Oil pastel leads are 3.8mm thick, highly break-resistant and capable of holding a much sharper point than many other coloured pencils.
The tin's elegant design reflects the original 1908 release, complete with the original seal. The pencils also bear the former stamp design and the numbers of the colours are those that were used in the original production.
