Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. You can delete items or change quantities at any time by clicking on View Basket. Delivery and VAT will be confirmed on the second page of the checkout - before you are required to give any personal details.
After providing your delivery details you will be transferred to the secure server of our trusted payment processor - Protx - to give your card details.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, Solo, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, American Express and JCB cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.
If you prefer not to use credit cards on the internet, we can accept orders by email, post, fax or phone. In this case we require receipt of a cheque (payable to Cult Pens) or credit card details phoned in before we can send out your goods.
We accept orders for invoice with delivery only from government, state education and NHS bodies.
Please note that product images may not always accurately reflect minor changes made by manufacturers to product graphics, colours or detailing. Where any substantial change is made to the appearance of a product we will always do our best to ensure that our images are updated, but this cannot always be achieved immediately.
Shipping And Handling
Orders under £10 are charged £1.50 postage and packing in the UK. Orders of £10 or over are shipped FREE OF CHARGE in the UK. Shipping in the UK is via First Class Royal Mail, or courier if appropriate. We can send on a guaranteed overnight service for an extra charge.

Claims for non-delivery should be notified within 30 days of despatch.
The vast majority of the items we feature are stock items and we aim to despatch these within 1-3 business days. Other items are ordered direct from the manufacturer with anywhere between 2 and 14 days delay depending on the manufacturer and their stock situation - these items will be highlighted as such on the site. If you have a deadline, please let us know.
For items sent by Royal Mail First Class Post within the UK, claims for non-delivery can only be processed after 14 days from despatch.
If your item is not in stock, we will back-order for you. You always have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Prices on this site include VAT at 20%. VAT is Value-Added Tax - applicable within the EU.
If you are outside the EU we export VAT-free, in which case you will be charged the "VAT excl." prices.
We include a detailed VAT invoice with all orders shipped.
While we try and ensure that all prices on our Web site are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled.
Credit Card Security
Your card information is processed by a secure third-party - Protx - and subject to the highest level of security. We do not hold your card details at Cult Pens unless you opt not to use our online payment service and send your card details separately.
We want you to be happy with your purchases. All items are covered by the relevant manufacturer's guarantees. Please contact us if you require help, information or wish to return items.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
We collect information about you only for the purposes of processing your order and providing you with the best possible service. We may email you with Cult Pens news or details of offers but requests to opt out of further emails will always be respected.
The type of information we will collect about you comprises your name, address, phone number, email address and payment card details.
You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us and if you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
Our shopping basket software uses 'cookies' which enables it to process your order. If you have cookies blocked in your browser you will not be able to order via this site.
At no point will we disclose information about you to third parties or pass on your email address, or any other information, to third parties for marketing or any other purpose - we hate spam as much as you do!

We work with TrustPilot to collect customer satisfaction information. Although your basic order details are passed to them so that they can invite you to comment, they will not use your data for any other purpose or pass it on to any other orgnisation.
You have a 'cooling-off' period of 7 days from receipt of your goods. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 7 days and we will refund the purchase price. Return postage costs are at your expense and we advise using a recorded delivery service with adequate insurance. By 'original condition' we mean in as-new condition; with all packaging intact; all leaflets, instructions and brochures as supplied; and in the case of fountain pens or other reservoir pens, in their original unfilled state.
Items returned outside the cooling-off period may be subject to a restocking charge at our discretion. In the case of gifts or genuine problems returning items we'll always exercise maximum flexibility. We want you to be happy with your purchase - please contact us to discuss if you're unsure.
If items purchased from us have been sent in error, or are damaged or defective, you can return them to us for a refund or replacement and reimbursement of the return postage costs. Please contact us FIRST before returning items for whatever reason - we can often save you some effort.
All returns should be properly packaged and sent to our address here: You are responsible for delivery to us - proof of posting is not proof of delivery. In the case of product defects or errors made by us your reasonable postage cost will automatically be refunded.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, please note that if you wish to return unwanted items we reserve the right to deduct our shipping costs from any refund and that you are responsible for the cost of shipping the items back to us by tracked and insured carrier.
Items that we have ordered in specially at your request may not be returned unless damaged on delivery or faulty.
Promotional items provided free of charge with qualifying purchases should also be returned if returning any items means that the qualification for the promotion is no longer achieved.
