The new ECO version of the PowerTank is made largely from recycled materials. The barrel is made from recycled polycarbonate, while the grip area is made from a mixture of sawdust from Uni's pencil-making operation and resin - cutting down on the amount of new resin required.
The Uni-Ball PowerTank features a pressurised refill which allows it to write in extreme conditions. On wet paper; horizontally or even upside-down; in temperatures as low as -20degC; and, most importantly, in the zero-gravity of outer space! (Hey, you never know...).
Works just like the more expensive Fisher Space pen, except the refill is transparent so you can see how much ink is left. Now the important bit: the world's first transparent pressurised refill works with compressed air at 3000hPa and employs a 'high gas barrier resin'. Got that? Good.
All this, and it additionally fetaures Uni Super Ink (tm) - Uni's highest-specification ink that is waterproof, lightfast and highly secure against tampering.

Eco version of the popular PowerTank is mostly made from recycled materials (see details above) and is an interestingly-eco-warrior shade of green with a brown grip.
The pressurised refill provides writing ability in extreme conditions. The Uni PowerTank will write on wet paper; upside-down; in temperatures down to -20degC; and even in zero-gravity. Just like a Space Pen - except the whole PowerTank pen is less than half the price of a single 'space pen' refill.
