Schneider produce a wide range of high-quality refills, many of which are suitable for use in other manufacturer's pens. The Schneider range often has the advantage over the original manufacturer's of a wider range of point sizes and/or ink colours. Schneider 'Plug & Play' refills are all interchangeable with each other in Schneider 'Plug & Play' pens. High value refills are equipped with wear-resistant stainless-steel tips to maximise ink usage and provide smear-free clear writing to the last drop. Metal-cased refills require thinner walls than plastic ones, giving a larger ink volume; and have a superior shelf-life. All Schneider black ink refills are waterproof to ISO 12757-2 - documentary use.
