Petrolheads among you will find the material used to make the barrels of these pens strangely familiar. It's stainless steel braided hose of the type used to sheath brake lines and electrics on cars and motorcycles, especially in high-performance environments.
They say: "These products are designed in accordance with Ferdinand Alexander Porsche's personal philosophy: timeless good design is not just a matter of superficial styling. It is a process that takes place from within, as part of the formal implementation of a functional principle.
TecFlex translates beautifully from the world of racing to the realm of writing instruments by providing excellent material to create a functional form."
We say: These are actually really nice pens. Crossover-brand items can be deeply naff but these are well-designed using an original concept. With Faber-Castell's real-world pen experience behind them they perform as well as they look. Not just for Porsche owners!
Two finishes are available: stainless steel, or stainless steel interwoven with gold threads. Fountain pen, ballpoint, rollerball and 0.7mm propelling pencil available in both finishes.
