Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen Shoji Limited Edition
The Platinum #3776 Century range introduces the new 'Slip and Seal' airtight cap to the superb #3776 model. The innovative new screw-on cap system uses an inner plastic plastic seal with a strong spring. The primary benefit of this system is improved storage ability - the ink will not dry out even if left for over a year. An added benefit is improved resistance to leaks due to pressure changes.
The Shoji Limited Edition is a demonstrator version of the #3776 Century and consists of just 3776 numbered pens. Released on July 1st 2012. Lake Shoji is one of the five major lakes surrounding Mt.Fuji and is renowned for its reflective quality. The delicate translucent blue of the Shoji pen represents the colour of the lake in the early morning sun.
Model no. PNB-20000. Aqua crystal AS resin with rhodium-plated trim. 14kt gold nib, rhodium-plated. '#3776' logo is engraved on the cap ring. The edition number is engraved on the cap. In an unusual touch the internal cap seal is marked in silver with the #3776 logo and the names of the 5 Fuji lakes.

The seal of the Shoji means that it can use pigment ink without risk of drying out. Pigment inks are waterproof when dry - excellent for writing, but can destroy a fountain pen if they dry out in the feed. The Shoji's seal prevents drying out. The sample cartridges are pigment black and pigment blue inks.
