Pilot Capless Fountain Pen Red Rhodium Trim
Contemporary rhodium-trim version of the classic Capless, in red. Rhodium-plated 18K gold nib, available in fine, medium or broad. The traditional fine 'medium' nib seems to be a more standard European medium these days, but the fine nib is still nearer to a European extra-fine.
Use Pilot IC-50 cartridges or bottled ink with the supplied converter.

In 1964 Pilot's engineers created many new products to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics. The greatest of their achievements was the Pilot Capless fountain pen.
Known as the Vanishing Point in the US, the Capless is 'the perfect combination of luxury and technology'. A simple cap-end push-button withdraws the nib into the body, closing an air-tight seal behind it to seal the nib and prevent it from drying out.
The Capless can be used with ink cartridges and is also supplied with a converter to allow it to be used with bottled ink. Available in a range of finishes, including the prestigious Namiki Raden, all come supplied in a luxury gift box.
We are able to offer a choice of fine, medium or broad nibs - these days the medium nibs are less fine than they used to be and more in line with a typical European medium. Fine is exceptionally fine - being equivalent to a Pilot G-Tec-C4 0.4mm rollerball!
Pilot are not well known in the UK for their fine pens, but are considered by experts to be of exceedingly high quality. Pilot-Namiki nibs are held in the same esteem as Pelikan, Waterman and other high-end manufacturers.
