The Recycology Writing Instruments range is a collection of planet-friendly products that help make the world's resources go further.
Made from more than 50% recycled materials* they use fewer valuable virgin resources than ordinary products but recycled materials do not mean inferior quality.

Reduce - Reuse - Recycle
When Pentel first start thinking about a product we consider its 'environmental footprint'. We try to make sure that its manufacture and development have minimal impact on the environment and we think about how easy it would be to recycle the product after it has been sold.
We strive to ensure that natural resources, including energy, are used economically and
responsibly throughout entire company operations.
Our philosophy is based on a commitment to three key principles for protection of the
environment the 3 Rs:

Recycle
All Pentel manufacturing facilities and distribution centres have a duty to observe and implement the following initiatives on a worldwide basis:
Reduction of waste and promotion of recycling
Separated collection of waste materials
Recycling of plastic waste in blast furnaces
Procurement of and conversion to production facilities using low power consumption
Reduced consumption of paper
Reduction of harmful effects on the environment (ozone layer, water depletion)
Observance of German Der Grüne Punkt mark
Development of Eco Mark products (through choice
of materials, longer-lasting performance, refillability)
Promotion of the use of recycled materials
Promotion of products with environmental branding
Promotion of the use of packaging produced with
recycled material

Recycology - ISO Standards
Pentel adheres to ISO-certified standards by implementing quality control measures at each
stage of production, together with actions to respect the future of the planet.
Our target is to make high quality and high performance products but, at the same time,
control and reduce our own consumption of fossil fuels and limit the transmission of Co2 in the process of production.
All our factories comply with the ISO 9001 standard. Three of our factories in Japan, our factories in the USA and those in Taiwan comply with the ISO 14001 standard for the protection and respect of the environment. |
