Namiki Raden Capless Fountain Pen

Namiki Raden Capless Fountain Pen

The ultimate version of Pilot's Capless fountain pen is brought to you by Namiki.
The barrel is decorated using the traditional Japanese raden technique of hundreds of tiny multi-coloured abalone shell fragments, finished with 10 layers of hand-applied lacquer and rhodium trim. The Namiki 14-carat gold nib is available in fine, medium and broad. Use IC50 ink cartridges or bottled ink using the supplied converter. Click the image to see a more detailed picture.

Capless
In 1964 Pilot's engineers created many new products to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics. The greatest of their achievements was the Pilot Capless fountain pen.

Known as the Vanishing Point in the US, the Capless is 'the perfect combination of luxury and technology'. A simple cap-end push-button withdraws the nib into the body, closing an air-tight seal behind it to seal the nib and prevent it from drying out.

The Capless can be used with ink cartridges and is also supplied with a converter to allow it to be used with bottled ink. Available in a range of finishes, including the prestigious Namiki Raden, all come supplied in a luxury gift box.

Cult Pens are able to supply all available UK finishes; fine, medium and broad nibs; spare nibs; and cartridges in all three colours. Due to the growing popularity of this pen, we are now able to hold extensive stocks of all finishes and nibs.

A note on nibs: Japanese 'medium' nibs are generally considered to be finer than European medium nibs. If you prefer a broader line, then you should opt for a broad nib. On the other hand, fans of finer writing will find the fine nib a joy.

Pilot are not well known in the UK for their fine pens, but are considered by experts to be of exceedingly high quality. Pilot-Namiki nibs are held in the same esteem as Pelikan, Waterman and other high-end manufacturers. Our many customers for this pen attest to the supreme quality of writing and the high level of practicality offered by this pen.

NEW - Due to demand we are now able to supply replacement fine, medium and broad nibs in both gold and rhodium finish.
