The green ink brigade have never had it so good!
Another hugely popular colour - a nice dark green can lend itself well to elegant writing, though it seems to have developed a (mythical?) reputation as the colour of choice for writers of outraged letters to the editor - apocryphally emanating from splenetic retired colonels living in the south-east (aka 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells')*.
Meanwhile green ink has recently claimed a place with teachers for schoolwork correction - it's a positive colour, rather than that nasty negative red colour. You see? No, I don't either. See also: 'purple ink', and 'political correctness gone mad'.
