Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of The Year
The Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year series is an annual limited edition that experiments with materials and techniques for decorating the barrel and is the pinnacle of the Graf von Faber-Castell collection. Each design is produced for one year only and each pen is unique - a hand-made work of art. Since 2003 when the series was concieved, materials have included snakewood, amber, stingray leather, mammoth ivory with ebony, petrified wood, satinwood and horsehair.
The pens are individually numbered and luxuriously presented, along with guarantees and information brochures. The pen itself is a magnum-sized fountain pen with platinum-plated metal parts and a plunger filling mechanism. The 18-carat bi-colour gold nib is run in by hand at the Graf workshops.
